The CURT Ram gooseneck ball kit allows you to instantly outfit your pickup truck for gooseneck towing. This 30K kit includes a gooseneck ball and gooseneck safety chain loops that easily drop into the factory gooseneck hitch puck system on Ram trucks with the 5th wheel gooseneck hitch prep package. The components also come in a durable carrying case for convenient storage when not in use. NOTE: The factory gooseneck hitch OEM puck system is required for installation.
The Ram gooseneck ball in this kit features a patented design. It is equipped with a simple lever and retainer balls that allow it to easily drop into the gooseneck hitch center puck and lock into place with a simple quarter-turn. The gooseneck ball has a 2-5/16" diameter and is rated for 30,000 lbs. GTW and 7,500 lbs. vertical load. For dependable strength and safety, the gooseneck ball is constructed from forged and machined steel alloy, finished in a polished chrome plating and thoroughly tested to U.S. VESC V-19 specifications.
Also included in this OEM puck system gooseneck hitch kit is a rubber hole cover. This cover installs with a simple friction-fit and keeps the gooseneck ball hole protected from water, dirt and debris when not in use. The components of the CURT Ram gooseneck ball kit also come in a durable storage case. This case can be reused, allowing the gooseneck ball and safety chain anchors to be easily transported and securely stored when not in use.

The kit is easy to use and works exactly as it should. It deserves 5 stars except for the problem I had with the finish peeling from the ball. Curt replaced it once I sent proof of purchase within the warranty period with a picture of the failing finish. This was probably a rare sample fault and the warranty was honored quickly. Perhaps that good customer service should restore the 5th star.

This Curt kit is designed to perfectly fit the Ram factory installed goose neck/5th wheel preparation package available on Ram trucks. It does the job perfectly with high strength components (30,000 lbs ball capacity and 750 lbs tongue load). The ball and chain attachments install easily in seconds and fit perfectly. The finishes are as good as it gets. The kit comes in a hard shell case to keep the system in one place and clean when not in use. If you shop around the internet and eBay, this Curt kit can be had for less than half the cost of the factory OEM kit. You can save some serious cash and get equal or better quality and performance with this kit over the expensive OEM offered by RAM. You paid a ton for your truck, don't overpay for quality components to complement it. Make sure you get the right kit for your truck brand. The Ram kit is #60618 and the Ford Superduty kit is #60609.
