CURT custom wiring provides everything you need to connect your vehicle's electrical system to a trailer. With a plug-and-play connector, a custom wiring connector easily integrates with your vehicle to provide a standard trailer wiring connector, typically in the form of a 4-way flat.
This custom wiring connector features a vehicle-specific design to perfectly fit certain years of the Honda Pilot (to verify vehicle compatibility, see the CURT application guide or use the Vehicle Lookup on the CURT website). It uses an OEM-compatible connector to plug into the vehicle's OEM socket and provides a standard 4-way flat output to power the taillights, brake lights and turn signals on your trailer.
To complete this custom wiring connector, it comes with a rubber dust cover. This cover keeps the connection points clean and well protected when the connector is not in use. Once installed, the connector can also be conveniently mounted on the vehicle's trailer hitch receiver tube, using a CURT Easy-Mount connector bracket. The bracket mounts onto the trailer hitch with no drilling required, and its powder-coated steel construction provides a solid attachment point for plugging in the trailer wiring.

Yeah, that omission about installing the 10 amp fuse was a bit of a hassle. Once I had read some comments and reviews, I figured it out and the system seems to work fine. I recommend the product. That cover on the connector over the exhaust pipe is a bitch!

Front page says battery connection must be fuse-protected with 10-amp fuse. That is provided. No where on the instructions, however, is there anything called "battery connection." It's called instead the "custom wiring connector." And in the 9 step install process, there is no instruction to "insert the 10-amp fuse" into the red fuse receptor on the custom wiring connector."
And in step 8, there's an instruction to "reconnect negative battery terminal." But there was no prior instruction to "disconnect negative battery terminal."
While these are criticisms, I'm not a particularly handy person and I found that everything snapped together pretty easily and overall I'm satisfied. -
I can not praise this product enough. It does exactly what it advertises. It took me 15 minutes to install the two plug and play wire harnesses and fuse. Total time was actually a hour but that’s due to the Honda plug cover by exhaust pipe that refuses to come off. Apparently everyone has problems removing the cover. I definitely recommend this product!
