Each CURT class 3 hitch is engineered to fit on a specific vehicle. This provides the best possible fit and easiest installation. This particular custom class 3 hitch fits specific years of the Toyota RAV4 (to verify vehicle compatibility, see the CURT application guide or use the Vehicle Lookup tool). It is designed to integrate with the vehicle's existing features and offer a reliable connection to your trailer.
This Toyota RAV4 hitch is stringently tested in accordance with SAE J684 to ensure a weight carrying capacity of 3,500 lbs. GTW and 350 lbs. TW. It also features a 2" receiver tube opening to accept ball mount or other hitch accessory with a 2" x 2" shank.
From class 1 to class 5, all CURT custom-fit receiver hitches are made in the USA to ensure quality from design to finish (may include imported hardware). They are designed with hands-on engineering for a precise fit. They are welded using a combination of manual and robotic operations for speed and accuracy. Finally, they are finished with our unique co-curing process. Each hitch is dipped in a liquid A-coat for rust prevention, inside and out, and then co-cured in a durable black powder coat finish for maximum rust, chip and UV resistance.

I've read several reviews about how easy of an install this item was and how great the instructions and pictures were. I have to disagree. When a picture is zoomed in tight you really can't tell what part of the vehicle it is. I wish they would use the word bumper instead of fascia or say bumper fascia. You have to cut a 2x4in section off the bumper for this. If you are not comfortable with that get the other option. There was also a sensor in the way that I had to remove. The instructions reference kick sensor but my model does not have that feature. Getting that sensor and it's mount bracket off were breezed over in the instructions. The long zip ties to secure it back were definitely needed. In the end it looks great. If I had to do it again I could get it done in the 40 min noted in the manual for novice install but it ended up taking me a good bit longer than that with 2 people. 5 stars for the product. 3 stars for the instructions.

Purchased from a platinum rated online supplier. Well packed (no box breakthrough), received quickly, best price on internet. Chose this hitch over others not only for the Curt reputation, but also for the hidden cross bar aesthetics. Cross bars are tucked nicely under the rear bumper facia. This hitch is a tank, but took on solo install. Instructions were good, but took some liberties with the two facia plates that interfered with the vertical base supports. Suggest trimming in small bites to only address the various areas of interference. Instructions have you lobbing off major sections. That will work too...but really only requires some strategic surgery. Overall very satisfied with the quality and fit on my 2016 RAV4. Looks totally OEM!!
